Adam's DMC1

This build from Adam, a long term Mach 3 CNC system builder, is based on the DMC1 with a truly professional system electronics case of his own design. I admit a touch of nerd-envy over what he has done here. Primarily used for cutting metal, the working envelope is 8" x 12" x 5.5". One of his first tasks was cutting a dust boot out of a 6061 Aluminum block.

Mechanical: DMC1. Steel frame with dual motor moving bed (Y Axis) with X and Z on a fixed gantry, dual spring loaded anti-backlash nuts, 15mm linear rails.

Steppers and drivers: NEMA 23 motors, TB6600 drivers Though he will be swapping them out for TMC2160 drivers.

Spindle: 1.5KW spindle.

Power: 24 VDC.

Control: grblHAL running on a Teensy 4.1.
